Our Custom Linear Shower Drains come in standard ready-to-order sizes or can be custom-tailored to fit your exact shower dimensions. If your required size falls between standard increments, please contact us to arrange a custom-sized drain that perfectly matches your needs.

Complete Set: Includes a 5 ft channel and grate, a pair of end caps, a (2" or 3") pop waste outlet, one hole saw per order, and Lauxes joiners (180° or 90°) if required. By default, a 2" outlet is supplied. A 3 inch drain outlet with a matching 3" hole saw is available upon request. 

A Tile Insert Infinity Design Shower Drain lets you place the same tile over the drain cover for a hidden, seamless look. It blends into the shower floor while still providing efficient drainage—ideal for modern, minimalist designs.

Lauxes Grates Slimline Tile Insert 26 is the world’s thinnest tile insert grate and is ideal for new builds and renovations with height restrictions, making it easier to achieve the proper slope for effective drainage.

Made from anodized aluminum, it is UV-stable and backed by a warranty against fading and rust. Suitable for both indoor and outdoor use, this practical and customizable drainage solution offers durability and design flexibility.

• Our custom size linear drains can also be used as a solution for side outlet linear drains by positioning the outlet exactly where needed. This flexibility allows for easy adaptation to different layouts and plumbing requirements.

If the drain length exceeds 94 inches, multiple shorter drains will be shipped and joined together on-site using Lauxes Joiners during installation. They can also be easily cut on-site to achieve the exact length you need.

CUTTING INSTRUCTIONS AND INSTALLATION

For ease of cutting Custom grates, we recommend using a compound miter saw fitted with a multi-material cutting blade 80 tooth or more. We also recommend using a Custom TCT hole saw to drill the hole for the waste outlet.

1. Cut the bottom tray 1/8” (3mm) shorter than desired length to allow end caps to be fitted.
2. Cut the top grate 1/32” (1mm) shorter than the bottom tray to allow for easy roll-in of top grate and tidy fit.
3. Using a suitable size Custom hole saw for your waste outlet, drill out the hole at the required position to align with the waste pipe in the floor.
4. Insert the end caps into bottom tray and secure with a bead of silicone on the outside of tray.
5. Place silicone around the lip of the waste outlet and secure to the underside of bottom tray at the recently drilled hole.

• During installation use a template to ensure the grate does not come in contact with any wet cement based products.
• Regular, gentle cleaning with soapy water is recommended. Do not use abrasive cloths or acidic chemicals on the grates.
• When gluing tile, use a neutral cure silicone.

Warranty

Damage resulting from improper, insufficient, or negligent care, or from installation not in accordance with AS/NZS 3500.2 or the manufacturer’s specifications, will void the warranty.

If at any time the product develops a defect, Custom Grates agrees to correct the defect(s) at no charge to the registered purchaser. This guarantee does not cover repairs necessitated by normal wear, misuse, accidental damage, or changes in temperature.

Note: Custom Grates products do not form part of the waterproofing.
