Our Lauxes Grates Custom Linear Drains are rustproof, durable, easy to install, and built for maximum flexibility in any shower layout. They come in lengths from 1 foot to 8 feet, or you can order any custom size by the inch. For drains longer than 95 inches, multiple shorter sections will be shipped and joined together on-site using connectors during installation.

Lauxes Grates Custom Linear Drains Cutting Instructions and Installation

For ease of cutting Lauxes Grates Custom Linear Drains, we recommend using a compound miter saw fitted with a multi-material cutting blade (80 tooth or more). We also recommend using a Lauxes TCT hole saw to drill the hole for the waste outlet.

1. Cut the bottom tray 1/8” (3mm) shorter than the desired length to allow end caps to be fitted.
2. Cut the top grate 1/32” (1mm) shorter than the bottom tray to allow for easy roll-in of the top grate and a tidy fit.
3. Using a suitable-size Lauxes hole saw for your waste outlet, drill out the hole at the required position to align with the waste pipe in the floor.
4. Insert the end caps into the bottom tray and secure with a bead of silicone on the outside of the tray.
5. Place silicone around the lip of the waste outlet and secure it to the underside of the bottom tray at the recently drilled hole.

* During installation, use a template to ensure the grate does not come in contact with any wet cement-based products.
** Regular, gentle cleaning with soapy water is recommended. Do not use abrasive cloths or acidic chemicals on the grates.
*** When gluing tile, use a neutral-cure silicone.

If at any time the product itself develops any defect, Lauxes Grates agrees to correct the defect(s) without charge to the registered purchaser. This guarantee does not provide coverage for repairs necessitated by normal wear, misuse, accidental damage, or damage resulting from changes in temperature.
